Simple Syrup is a pantry basic; something you must always have on hand.

Simple syrup is sugar dissolved in water and boiled down to evaporate some of the water.  Thus making it a syrup.

You can use Simple Syrup all kinds of foods not just drinks.

You can make your syrup thicker or thinner, pending the ratio of sugar to water.
