My Favorite Cornbread

This is a sweet cornbread recipe.  I admit it is more like cake than cornbread. 

Maybe, that is why it is my favorite cornbread recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup    All Purpose Flour
  • 1 3/4 cup Cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Avocado Oil
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 1/4 cup  Milk

Instructions

  1. In medium size bowl, mix dry ingredients.
  2. In measuring cup mix wet ingredients.
  3. Add wet ingredients to bowl of dry ingredients.
  4. Mix until there are no streaks of flour left.
  5. Pour into a round buttered 9 1/2 skillet.
  6. Bake at 375F for about 25 minutes.
  7. The cornbread is done when you gently press in the center, and it is firm.
