Fudgy Chocolate Bar Brownies
This is your new favorite chocolate brownie recipe.
Ingredients
In glass heat proof bowl or sauce pan melt and let cool to room temperature:
- 1/2 cup Butter (2 sticks = 8 oz)
- 4 oz Unsweetened Chocolate Bar, broken into small pieces
Large Bowl
- whisk 4 large Eggs, until even in color
Add to eggs, mix until even in color
- 2 cups Sugar
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Cooled melted chocolate and butter
Last, add to mixture
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour or Almond Flour
- 1 cup Nuts, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Line all sides of a 13 x 9inch baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside for later. (The parchment makes it easier to pull brownies out of baking dish and sit on a cooling rack when done.)
- Melt Chocolate and Butter in saucepan over very low heat. (Or heat proof bowl in microwave). Constantly stirring. Remove from heat when both are completely melted. Stir and set aside too cool to room temperature.
- Whisk eggs until even in color.
- Add to eggs, sugar, vanilla and chocolate butter mix. Mix until even in color.
- Fold in Flour and Nuts until evenly combined. When finished there won't be any white streaks of flour.
- Put mixture into parchment lined baking dish. Bake for about 30-45 minutes. The center will be a little firm and a toothpick inserted in the center will come out with a few crumbs.
Notes
If you use a more narrow baking dish (8 x 8 in) you will get a thicker brownie. This will take about 50 to 60 minutes to bake.
